multimedia Designer
Hi, I’m Amanda Allen, a detail-oriented, artistically skilled designer with an A.A.S. in Visual Communications, Adobe Certified in Illustrator & Photoshop, and certifications in Graphic Design and Photography. Passion for a variety of creative arts is what drives my ambition as a multimedia designer. I may not have all the answers, but I know how to find them. Don’t take my word for it. Let my work do the talking!

PHILOSOPHY
I build brands to make understanding easier, for both the people running the work and the people they serve. Creativity matters, but I believe clarity comes first. I approach design as a practice of listening, consent, and sustainable problem-solving: set the right boundaries, name what matters, then create simple systems teams can keep using on their hardest days.
Accessibility isn’t an add-on; it’s the baseline. I design for different brains, bodies, and bandwidths; clean layouts, readable contrast, plain-language messaging, and motion used with care. When a brand feels safe and coherent, trust follows. That trust fuels growth without the churn of hustle-culture or manipulative tactics.
My process favors steady progress over spectacle. Learn the landscape, co-create with the people closest to the work, and document decisions so no one has to guess later. The result is a brand that holds shape under pressure: recognizable, ethical, and practical to maintain.
I stand for three things in every engagement: Clarity, Consent, and Sustainability. If the work doesn’t respect all three, we rework the plan, because the right message, delivered accessibly and consistently, is what actually moves communities and companies forward.

Experience
01
Ember & Sage Media
Founder & ND Creative Strategist
Jun. 2025 – Present
I lead an accessibility-first branding studio for local entrepreneurs, mission-driven founders, and purpose-led micro-teams. My work spans discovery and positioning, cohesive identity systems with practical usage standards, WCAG-AA WordPress (Divi) sites, and launch-ready collateral and social kits. I steward creative direction through production handoff, refine visual assets, and set simple governance so teams stay consistent without guesswork; prioritizing ethical, trauma-aware communication and sustainable results.
02
AMA DESIGNS & PRODUCTIONS
Freelance Multimedia Designer
Feb. 2021 – Jun. 2025
As a freelance designer, I provided independent design support for East Texas local business owners across apparel graphics, vinyl decals & stickers, small websites, signage, and social media assets. I moved concepts from brief to approval, maintained steady cadence communications with entrepreneures, prepared press-ready files, coordinated with local vendors, and managed timelines so small businesses could keep operations moving while their visuals remained clear and consistent.
03
Frankston Packaging
Marketing Specialist
Sept. 2024 – May. 2025
Operating as the sole operator of communications, I supported a national manufacturer with day-to-day brand execution: content planning, digital/print collateral, trade-show materials, social media management, and photo/video asset coordination. I refreshed template systems, maintained on-brand messaging across departments, improved internal documentation for faster turnarounds, and refined visual guidelines while monitoring multi-channel performance standards.
04
The Shop Co. Screen Printing & Graphics
Lead Production Artist
Apr. 2021 – Feb. 2023
Working alongside a lean crew, I handled high-volume prepress and production art for screen printing, embroidery, signage, and vehicle wraps. My responsibilities included art cleanup, color separations, large-format layout design, proofing, vendor coordination, creation of various school-related collateral, management of non-profit projects, and establishing file standards with checkpoints that reduced rework to deliver accurate, consistent results across diverse substrates.

Creative Design
I’ve learned that aesthetic visuals and strong typography are only two of the many key components to a strong design. Creativity, curiosity and critical-thinking are essential traits every designer must have in order to meet their client’ business needs.
Visual Design
There’s much more to graphic design than taking pictures and moving words around on an image. Design is about making a statement loud and vibrant enough to draw in a crowd. If imperfection is the only choice, I’ll make it a stylish design choice.
Photography
My time as a freelance photographer has helped me realize there is more than one way to tell a story. No matter what a person’s story is, every tale deserves to be told as memories captured in time to share with the world regardless of how big or small.
Problem Solving
Working in so many diverse roles throughout my career has helped me learn how to resolve problems on the fly. Whether with a project, or clearing up a miscommunication with a client, knowing how to navigate various situations with grounded empathy is the key to success in all aspects of life.
Communication
My experience as a mother, designer and provider have all taught me that communication is an essential part of our day-to-day lives. Communication is more than the words we say or write, it’s about being listening and considering all perspectives involved in any given conversation.
Innovative
During my time working in various print production shops, implementing new ideas is only one of the skills I’ve focused on improving as a designer. Researching top trends, learning new techniques, and striving to obtain new information every day is essential for both professional and personal growth.
